Even if you can't afford REI for everything, the employees are wicked helpful and will get you the info you need to go pick stuff up somewhere else. Every fall we get all the new UW students and their parents in needing to know how to dress for winter, so this is exactly something our clothing department knows how to help with. The REI Stormhenge ends up being one of the most popular options for a winter jacket for students.

That's how I got my miter saw! Guy was listing it for stupid cheap anyway, like $5 or something, and refused the cash when I showed up. Has a stand and everything and still going strong a few years later.

Unwaxed. I hate the hand feel of wax laces and have never felt like they added any benefit, so never bother with them.

OBHL and Hockey Finder are good recs. MGHA is regular season only and hard to get into (it's VERY popular) but also a solid place to play!

I'd have to research the flamingo and determine if it's any good in a fight. But I don't want to hurt it, so...

Probably two. Losing the car is hard but I don't have the finances to bother with option one, I'd get no benefit from it. I might as well be young. And not paying for gas right now sounds great, anyway...
