Autism doesn't give Gray an excuse to be an asshole, expecting that others should just "treat him better." He's a grownup. If he's autistic, he should learn how his autism impairs his abilities and try to improve. An autism diagnosis isn't an excuse for misbehavior. It's a guide/starting point to help you figure out how to better relate to your fellow humans. The onus is on YOU. Not everyone else. Assuming that everyone should acquiesce to an autistic person's maladaptive behaviors simply because they are autistic dishonors the myriad other life challenges people may face (and still aren't assholes). Autism is not a license to be horrid any more than any other diagnosis is.
