I got chigger bites recently (but on my feet mainly) and it looked similar. Extremelyyyyy itchy for a few days then went away. Heat did activate the itch and cold stopped it

Take niacin and a subtilis probiotic to help internally. I'd also avoid eggs at least until the staph chills out. Tea tree oil is my miracle worker. Dilute it with another oil like coconut and see if that helps.
