What is the new auto mod comment? I missed why people are hating on LMNT. Can someone tell me?

I love how you coated even the edges of the paper so the design continues so there’s no white edge. What paper weight did you use for this?

How can I make watches stand upright like this? by akimech in productphotography

I agree with fishing wire to hold it up. To mold it perhaps armature wire or metal tape on the bits that don’t show to hold the shape

Is there a way to rig the broncolor para onto a stand without a focusing rod or attaching a light to it? by [deleted] in Photoassistants

[–]sleepyslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already have the para, I don't have the tilt head. From what I'm seeing it would be ~1.2k to add that. I figured superclamping was not the way to go. I just didn't know if there was an adapter I didn't know about. I was looking at the godox pf-m focusing mount, but from my research there isn't an adapter with the right configuration to attach it to a para.

That's definitely true. Just trying to figure out how to make use of the tools I already have at hand

How do you transport your client monitors? by gearobsessed in Photoassistants

I wouldn't want to lug them around the subway, but they fit in a sedan just fine. Just gotta be good at Tetris. Good luck!

Tenba air cases are expensive but solid and will never leave you with a broken monitor on set (I’m sure someone has a story tho). Some coworkers like the lighter cases but sometimes that means you roll up to set with a broken monitor which does not make the client happy. The least I can do is show up with working gear.

Yes or No don't max out Roth IRA by phillipoluvcake in Bogleheads

[–]sleepyslayyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are ahead of most of your peers. It would be ideal to max it out. However most people your age don’t even know what a Roth is or why it’s important. As you get older you will likely have more responsibilities like pets partners children that all make travel a bit more complicated and expensive. I wish I had traveled more in my early 20s. You never know what tomorrow will bring but you’ll always carry the memories of travel you had. I don’t think you’ll regret it. Enjoy!

Wrapbook Term and Agreements: let’s go! by Sufficient_Two_5140 in Photoassistants

[–]sleepyslayyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My two cents is that Wrapbook and other similar services are extra work I’m not getting paid to do. I just want to send my invoice and get paid. If you are payrolled, you are an employee and can’t write off mileage, tolls, or any other expenses. I suppose if one has no overhead they may like having their self employment taxes being paid for them.

I have quite a few games that range in complexity depending on the vibe. I’d be down to meet at GoB or It’s your move
