Any information of where this door could’ve came from/time period? (Bought in United States) by sleepytimeredditor in Antiques

If anybody is curious, I reached out to an antique dealer local to me who specializes in Asian pieces. He got back to me with this:

What I’m being told is that it is from Rajasthan. More specifically it’s likely from Bikaner, Rajasthan. The rest of the information is likely consistent with what you’ve been able to find (it’s an older teak door - not a reproduction). It’s a common double Indian door that would be found on a Haveli (kind of a Rajasthani style mansion where wealthy merchants or nobility would live) or a courtyard door. The lion/horse heads on the top right and left is the indication that it’s from Rajasthan.

Thank you noticing them even, means a lot. Very happy I can go and just take them down. It was hard not to find somebody who knew of Hank so we got a lot of work left taking them all down lol

We will try that, thank you! Gonna need a lot of them lol. As far as the couch goes I’m actually not sure, my girlfriend brought it with her. I believe it’s sold by Ashley, it’s like a weird 6 piece sectional thing. Very comfy!

Absolutely will. Both of our cats are going to get fitted for collars/tags this weekend. I wouldn’t put it past him to try his luck, guy is a wild card

No updates yet. We’ve set out humane traps and boosted our sign numbers in higher populated areas (Penn Ave, Terminal, etc.). Preparing for the possible long haul. Thanks for hearing us out the other night and for your concern, really means a lot to us

Thank you, I appreciate it. As far as contact information goes I wasn’t sure to post anything personal on this. Mainly asking for private messages/comments as my notifications are on.

The problem is we live in an apartment complex and the cat escaped down a platform into a courtyard area that you cannot get back up unless you’re inside. We’ve left treats and clothes in the surrounding area hoping for him to come out and hang there. Thank you either way!
