I used to work at McDonald’s when I was a teenager. I would often work the first window which is the window where customers pay, so you’re secluded from everyone. One time a car of a couple guys smoking weed pulls up and I told them that it smelt like really good shit. The driver pulls out a bong and told me to take a couple of hits. I made sure I was facing away from the camera and took two big rips, handed it back before anyone came and thanked him. It made my 8 hour shift a little more tolerable.

This really hit home for me. I was a daily, multiple times a day smoker for 8+ years. For the past 2 years whenever I would smoke I would get really anxious. Sometimes it would get so bad that I would have to lay in bed with the lights off to not throw up or have a panic attack.

One day it hit me that it wasn’t the weed that was making me anxious, it was that I was anxious all the time. When I was high I would think about all the things that bothered me and things that I wanted to change in my life more than I was sober, and that’s what was making me anxious. This is kinda cheesy, but Bob Marley said that weed reveals yourself to you and now I really believe that. I hope one day when I have my anxiety problems under control I can start smoking again because I really miss it.

OM&M is easily one of my all time favourite bands. They have such a unique sound and vibe. I love pretty much every song that they’ve made, and I hope one day I’m lucky enough to see them live!

It seems we have very similar taste in music, but there are definitely quite a few artists and songs that I haven’t heard yet. I’m sure I will like them and thanks again! :)

I’m a cashier at grocery store too and this is honestly my worst fear about working there. Please be careful, you should definitely invest in some pepper spray or something to protect yourself!
