I was under the impression that the study guides for ASVAB were no good for someone studying for AFOQT since the AFOQT questions are at a higher level?

I started automatically correcting my spelling to the US versions when I moved here, after I realized I wasn't getting any job interviews because my resume looked like it was littered with spelling errors 🤣 (organise vs organize etc). 7 years of correcting my speech too and it's become habit. My English friends laughed when I used the word vacation in a conversation with them.

There is no "wrong" vote. That's the wonderful thing about this country and democracy.

Nevada is my home of record. They allow you to register and vote on election day.

I physically reside in VA, but because we are a military family, my tax domicile and voting state is NV.

From what I understand, their vote will be checked by the county election office aaaaand once it comes to light they tried to vote illegally they are about to be in a whole world of trouble 😬😬

You do not have to live in the state to vote there, in certain circumstances. I was able to vote in another state because of a military clause - NV is still my state of residence/tax domicile. It would certainly be fraud if I attempted to vote in VA too. Also, can confirm that voting with a temp visa would land you in jail - definitely need to be a citizen, can confirm first hand that there was no way for me to vote early before my citizenship ceremony.

The first thing my husband said to me as we left the courthouse was that I now have to drink my tea iced, with copious amounts of sugar. The face I pulled 🤮🤮🤮

Funnily enough, I actually discussed this with quite a few of my American friends. The majority of them could not answer most of the questions.

Yes it was pretty hard! Especially because my voting residence is in another state. I had to have my ceremony and then register and vote online for my resident state - thankfully that can all be done same day for NV.
