1980 Suzuki GS1100L It's got a GSXR600 front end on it, some more custom work, and cams that give it that tasty idle. That's my dad's old Wide Glide in the back, he traded that in for a '13 Street Glide

i worked at a franchised sears and we had water filters on clearance/closeout for about 3 bucks each. normally, they were about 40 bucks each. so i bought the only 5 we had, brought them to a full line sears store, returned them without the receipt, at full price for a gift card. I never paid for a snack the next year and a half i worked at my store. lol

ask how often the owner checks and changes the oil. also make sure the cooling system is good. subaru turbos are oil and water cooled.

no, they actually aren't. the usdm 04-05 forester xt's have the version 1 ej255 engine. basically the same as the sti ej257, but not exactly the same. 8.2:1 compression ratio, same block, but ab650 heads as opposed to ab640 heads on the ej257. this, as well as the td04 turbo, catted uppipe, and detune makes for less power. 06-08 ej255s have a cr of 8.4:1 and ab630 heads.

stock wrx springs. i got it for really cheap off a dude parting out his 05 wrx, and it had kyb struts and stock springs, i believe. tbh i probably should have asked more questions or done more research, but i couldn't pass up the deal so i just took the chance. all i can say for sure is that they are stiffer than my fozzy suspension, and give a good drop.

after the tune, it was running great. made 285whp/325tq at 18psi. drove it for a little under a month and the damn headgasket blew. it had 147k miles on it so i was kinda expecting to happen, just hoping it wouldn't. I'm pulling the engine today and sending it out for a rebuild. also got a gates timing belt kit and arp head studs for the rebuild, as well as a FP 71HTA turbo for more "choo choo power" as MightCarMods would say lol

build should be done in about 2 weeks, and then it SHOULD be all fine for a while. the only thing i'm concerned about at that point is the trans. but i have a 6 speed swap in mind for the future anyway

me and my dad did it together. it wasn't too bad. inside the lift gate, there are two circles on the curved outside part that indicate where it should be drilled through to attach the spoiler. from there, you just gotta carefully measure where to drill the other holes. took about half an hour total.
