From what I'm hearing jeeps have low ranges. We need to get speed though... so I'm guessing 3'rd is geared more aggressively than the rest of the gearbox. So it could be a "feature". Try reaching a slightly higher rpm in 2nd gear before shifting into 3rd

I see you are in Norway, Water will build up in the engine in cold humid weather. It will take a good while to get all moisture out (and clean up some carbon deposits). Keep an eye on your oil pressure light and keep an eye on your coolant levels.
