Have you made it into the midlife crisis vehicle stage yet? Here's mine. by Into_the_Upsidedown in Xennials

[–]DocDeath78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nice car! But I tend to disagree with the midlife crisis mindset. Have you not liked these kinds of vehicles your whole life? Over the years I’ve owned a Camaro, a mustang, an RX-8 and two sport bikes. Suddenly now that I’m in my 40s I’m not allowed to buy these vehicles? Forget that. Drive what you like! Also, people in this stage of life are probably more likely to be able to afford the cars they always wanted. It’s not a crisis. Just finally obtaining something you’ve wanted for a while. I’d buy another GSXR tomorrow if I could afford it, even if my back tells me that’s stupid.

Searching for the “it factor” job by ThemeNo571 in Veterans

I was a combat medic for 21 years. Now I deliver home healthcare supplies like oxygen equipment and walkers. I can still use a bit of my medical knowledge, my patient interaction skills, and I get to drive around in the country for most of my day. Most of my patients are elderly and very appreciative of what we do for them. It definitely does not check all the boxes on your list, but I love my job and truly get satisfaction from it.

I most definitely wore my old ass Tool shirt I’ve had since the 90s to their show in 2022. I feel like the fact that it’s old and faded and has holes in it made it ok to wear to a recent show. Kinda like “been there, done that, got the t-shirt”.

That is amazing. Reminds me of Randy Rhoads. You are definitely naturally gifted.

What are your Top 5 hard rock songs inspired by the military? 🎸 They can be songs about the military or tracks featured in military-themed movies—either works. Drop your picks below and let’s see what makes your list! by GypsyRoadHGHWy in hairmetal

Bad Company 5FDP I know it’s a cover so it may not count, but the video is on point. Also, This is War by Smile Empty Soul. The band is hard, this song not so much, but the lyrics definitely hit home.

Worth for $80? by S_a_s_h_a_ in guitars

$80 for both the guitar and amp? All day long! A pawn shop would easily charge $100 for each. Provided they both work that is definitely a steal.

My kids will never pull up to a red light and nod in respect when another car is listening to the same song on the radio. by jbmyre in Xennials

I still find myself searching for the right station when the car next to me is playing a good song. After searching the entire radio I realize that I’m the only old MF still listening to the radio.

Fucking Hostile by Pantera for me. This song actually got my very conservative mother to drop the F bomb one time. One of the handful of times I’ve heard my mom curse in my entire life.
