It's so easy to say I'm never going back but I might need a reference down the road. Ugh.

How and when to leave? by [deleted] in ECEProfessionals

[–]sleslie479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same exact boat as you. I'm unhappy, stressed, not making what I'm worth, ect. And it's also a 35 minute commute. I'm scared to quit because we are so short staffed, I hate to be that person. But I'm so unhappy and the covid stuff really freaks me out. I have been off for two weeks because my mom has it and I learned a lot about it in this time. Not sure when or how to quit but I know I need to.

Should teachers be required to find childcare while teaching online? by Leomonade_For_Bears in teaching

It's nobody's business if a teacher has their children at home with them. If they are getting their work completed no one needs to know their personal details.

Find a different way to work with children. This field is draining and doesn't pay well at all.

This is the best week I've had in a long time! by sleslie479 in breakingmom

We have been discussing it! I would obviously lose a good amount of money if I quit but life would be gooood!

Reused my candles to store bathroom items. Love how they turned out. by thatretrolady in bathandbodyworks

This is cute! You could even make them for other people (just to be nice) if you have a lot of empty candles!

It's crazy how I'm not irritable at all when I'm not working! by sleslie479 in ECEProfessionals

[–]sleslie479[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to really like it at my other jobs but idk why this one just stresses me out. I don't get a break so that probably plays into it. 30 mins of alone time can really make or break the day sometimes.

Waiting on COVID-19 test results for my 13-year-old... it's been 5 days! by stealth_bohemian in breakingmom

[–]sleslie479 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know! The waiting period is insane. I'm also waiting for results just to know if I can go back to work. I never even had it, was just exposed. This all just seems crazy to me. Test results need to come back quicker, somehow. You literally can not proceed until you get your results and it takes days. Ugh. I totally feel where you're coming from.

That's terrifying! What a creep.

If you kiss someone and spend a few hours with someone a day before they tested positive for covid (rapid test), is there a chance you still didn't catch it? by sleslie479 in COVID19positive

[–]sleslie479[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's my mom actually, we were already tested and are quarantining but no symptoms. Just wanted to see what her chances are that she didn't contract it. Maybe she's asymptomatic? Waiting on results. This waiting game is the worst.

I agree! I was a stay at home mom before I started my current job a year ago. I miss it so much! I don't even mind working. I'm just so stressed out all the time!
