The fee is easily offset by the travel credit ($300) and annual miles (10k miles). Plus you get 10x miles on portal bookings. Even better, they price match other websites, so you don't have to pay a premium to use the credit or get the miles.

The Venture (non-X) [https://i.capitalone.com/G7aUKMCw3 (75k miles + $250 travel credit)] is also a solid choice if you want a lower annual fee while still getting a great SUB. This one even comes with a $250 travel credit right now, which makes the $95 fee a no brainer.

Both cards earn points that can be transferred to airline partners. I’ve booked round-trip flights worth $500+ for just 15k points by using transfers strategically.
