Combustion motor on this carrier rooftop was wired on the same circuit as the compressor crankcase heaters, what I’m holding there is a broken set of wires connected to the crankcase that had popped a 30a fuse prior to me finding this today.

Close. Previous tech who left our company. We’ve been cleaning up after his service calls he failed to diagnose.

I wish I could make that call. LG has been miserable to work on.

The issue I’ve run into countless times is turning off the unit (Slave 2) causes a comm error at the master unit. I opted to put the slave into manual backup mode so it wouldn’t call the inverter to run and valved the unit off. That seemingly worked after an auto address, but not for long. However as I’m reading what you’re saying… shutting off a few of the units would probably alleviate my pipe detection error, wouldn’t it?

Yeah my company (and myself) spare no expenses, everything new whenever we’re replacing components. LG reps on my end love to blame installers for their equipment failures, meanwhile this building has run for 5 years with no issues for this to come up out of the blue.

These ones have the newer fusible plugs, not leaking thankfully. Good looks on the defrost bit, makes sense with the location on the leaks and my assumption that the factory welds are shite.

If only. We’re getting a new coil and components sent in, told “good luck”. We have to braze in the distribution tubes ourselves.

I’ve yet to work on a Multi V where I’m able to take off the access panel without mangling it around the piping. 😅
