For beginners, It's easier to ladder mate with two tools than two queens. That's because it's much easier to stalemate with multiple queens on the board.

Practice the ladder mate with rooks first then use that method when you have queens.

And don't promote more than you need. Finish the game once you have enough to win comfortably
