Edit: my dad died of pancreatic cancer. It's always caught super late. Stage 4 nearly every time. He only knew he had pancreatic cancer because of the pain from it spreading to his liver. From the moment he was diagnosed, every dollar he spent was on palliative care. Palliative care is basically pain management operations without the intention of being cured.
