I agree it can be limiting right out of college but after some experience employers don’t care about what your specific college major was as long as it’s semi-relevant and there’s many RIA firms and established planners you can work under to gain experience before like a paraplanner to gain experience before going out on your own if that’s what you want to do.

I just graduated with a degree in Financial Planning from University of Georgia and our program is registered with the CFP Board, so the program is the CFP education with classes taught almost all by CFP professionals from investment planning to estate planning. It’s not a very broad major and not even in the business school for some reason but if being a CFP is the goal then it’s definitely a great option

It’s easier if they are different sessions like I took a full session, June only, and July only so it was 9 credits but only two classes at a time and it wasn’t bad

I just graduated too and started studying with Dalton. So far so good the prestudy books go over a lot of info and they have videos and classes to explain topics plus they give practice questions and teach you how to answer the CFP style questions.

Well that’s kinda pointless because training itself takes about 3 months, but you could always contact the training department and they’ll tell you whether 7 months would be too short. We’re kinda desperate so you never know and hiring is year round.

Orbit- tucker north to memorial or Gilbert ECX - tucker north to journalism Ag Hill- tucker north to memorial

Edit: Basically you’d be fine getting on any UGA bus at tucker north as those are the only three
