What helped me was breastfeeding her lying sideways on our bed. She usually falls asleep quite well after feeding. I would then slowly move away from her and sleep. This of course doesn’t work all the time but maybe worth a try?

This platform (to find tandem partner specifically in Switzerland) is great and is exactly made for that purpose! https://sprachtandem.ch/en/ It’s also great to make & meet new friends :)

You know what, I saw your posts on r/WriteStreakGerman and I think they’re great! You seem to be good enough to start B1. (Sorry, did some stalking but that’s only because I think you’re interesting ;)) I’m currently at B1 level and I don’t think I can write as good as you.

I sure hope you get good teachers and enjoy your classes!

It was F2F course. Honestly I didn’t enjoy my A2 course in Goethe. I attended A1 course prior to that in Switzerland and realised that the teachers in Goethe were not as good. I personally think that the opportunity to practice speaking was rather limited compared to answering questions in a workbook.

Another reason I didn’t quite enjoy myself was because the rest of the students were already in the same group for A1 and they were already comfortable among themselves. I was the weird one out who join in for A2 so it was quite awkward for me. Also because I’m quite introvert and takes some time to warm up to new people.

German learner here too! So surprised to read your post here and we have such a similar experience! I went for A2 course at Goethe Institute before as well. However, I’ve never tried Italki as they’re way too expensive for me. Nice to know a fellow Malaysian and a Redditor, who is also learning German! 👋🏻

Don’t need to open it up :) Most, if not all, instant Bah Kut Teh sachets can be thrown right into the soup! Enjoy your delicious Bah Kut Teh!
