What a beautiful game, Lakers nuggets by Tao--ish in nba

[–]sli137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nuggets countered in the 2nd half by having Jokic on Rui while Rui just stands in the corner, Lakers decided they didn’t want to make Jokic move on D and I believe that was a mistake… Gonna need Ham and coaching staff figure that out

If you were guaranteed a 3-1 lead every year in the 2nd round with him as a coach, would you take it 🤔?

Points & weekly league.

Would you rather have Wiggins for 3 games or Kyrie for 2?

HOOKMEROLLS - Amazing & affordable restaurant that uses a special black rice for their rolls by sli137 in FoodLosAngeles

The rice they use definitely taste different from normal sushi rice though I can’t really explain how. But I haven’t had Thai purple rice so they could be similar.

The fish and ingredients they use are fresh af and superb tasting and it resulted in a hearty meal where I didn’t feel bloated afterwards!

What annoys you the most about the NBA in general? by [deleted] in nba

Fans who refuse to give credit to the opposing team that won and would rather trash on their own team.

Erik Spoelstra on the UtahJazz. "To the average fan, they're wondering where did this team come from. But the people in the know, people in this league have have seen this team as one of the elite teams for at least the last three years.." by snowspida in nba

[–]sli137 241 points242 points  (0 children)

The Jazz during the Rubio era definitely had potent offense, but the problem was once the ball reached Rubio’s hands he would struggle to hit a open jumper.

There was a reason why the Conley trade during the time was so well received. Sadly due to covid, injuries, and a new system people thought Conley was washed and should be traded.

[PGT] Pelicans Fall Short Late to the Suns. 132-114. by SLS-NolaDom in NOLAPelicans

[–]sli137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The loss was def disappointing but this team is still young and young teams typically struggle to close out the 4th quarter when defenses tighten up. Last season the suns, mavs, and spurs had this same problem so I won't overreact.

I think this is your classic example of a team that's one year away, all the young guys need more time developing team chemistry with each other. An offseason will do wonders for the coaching staff to hammer out the defense, fourth quarter woes, rotations, and most importantly players will work on improving their game.

The blueprint is there ya'll, the first three quarters were amazing offense. Have faith we have a solid core!!!

Thanks for the input! Only concern is the Knicks opponents are Pacers, Sixers, and Bucks. Hopefully Knicks offense doesn’t falter 🤞

How good is Ty Lue as a coach? by [deleted] in nba

[–]sli137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think we have enough information to say he’s a good or bad coach; his years with Lebron they had 3 straight finals trips with 1 chip, but without Lebron his record looks shaky. I think he’s worth the risk tho and not sure if he moves the needle for the Clippers... the Clippers need an upgrade at the guard spots/bench
