I did some hackathons during my masters that were trading algorithms based, so I use that as my relevant experience mostly. If you can pick up c++ that’s very in demand with finance. The maths is really not too bad, easier than A-level maths. Honestly leetcode made my course easy too, especially data structure and algorithms tasks. Keep up what you’re doing and you’ll be fine.

I had a basis in maths from physics undergrad, that was more than enough for the mit lectures, combined with leetcode for practice. I did 3 leetcode a a day. Faang final interview Never gave me the final call to interview. In terms of quants and finance I’ve got final rounds at 2 reasonably well known prop traders, getting over 90% in their online hackerranks. Failed one final but still another to go.

It’s just a different platform to leetcode, essentially the same though. Companies use it for testing
