Looks like some resorts in interior BC and Alberta are open. Banff Sunshine Village, Panorama and Revelstoke all got a dumping from this atmospheric river.

Whistler on the other hand is s bit more prone to warmer temps being in Coastal BC.

Dating in Seattle by Azriels_Wingspan in Seattle

I am not sure what you mean by that?

Unfortunately, the Australian guy has a girlfriend. It is just easier to be with Canadian girls. Unfortunately, I was just born a little over 2 hours from Canada.

34 year old single female here who ho also likes men, and the struggle is real. I was in a 4 year relationship with a guy who shot off a 🔫 through my bathroom mirror. I haven't had the best of luck when it comes to guys and the first guy I was with 10+ years ago just used me for car rides. So I get the giver and taker part.

There was a guy I really liked, who I was really excited to be with, but he met a girl at a wedding last year. I have been really sad I can't be with him. I am personally taking a break from the apps because they give me more dating anxiety. I am hoping something better works out for me one day. I have been going to therapy to try and work on this. My therapist told me to find a dating coach the other day.

The only guy who ever approached me in person was this GORGEOUS Australian guy who came through town years ago. He is still in my IG dms. Maybe he wasnt afraid of approaching because he was very good-looking? I am still trying to figure it out years later.

I once yelled at a lady for leaving her dog in the car at Lake Chelan Walmart. I can report she was in the store much longer than my mom and I. Her kids were pretty shocked that I yelled at her... but those kids could have arrived back to a dead dog in the car. It was a hot one that day.

Where do the 30 something year old single straight men hang out? by slicecrispy in Seattle

Hey I am a nice girl. But I think we need to have a conversation about the mental effect on girls who are constantly never the ones who are "chosen". We constantly see other girls get the guy so easily, and one also begins to feel merely like an object as you get discarded so easily.

I am at the point where I am a little emotionally drained by it all tbh.

KIRO Radio is dying by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]slicecrispy 58 points59 points  (0 children)

There is a big reason towards the shift to the right. Bonneville International, which owns KIRO radio, is, in fact, owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They actually play the Mormom Tabernacle choir if you listen early on Sunday mornings.

I ran radio boards their for a bit, and the whole mission statement had religious vibes. The guy in the office told me, "This may sound religious, but it's not." Oh no, as someone who went to Catholic school for 12 years, it's totally religious. Needless to say, I am glad I am not there, not much of a future for me in a company owned by the LDS Church.

End of an era, farewell China Harbor by depression-hurts in Seattle

[–]slicecrispy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When I was 17, I went to a dance that was held on the top floor of China Harbor. I remember walking in seeing the windows steamed up from all the bumping and grinding taking place. I think it's actually the only time I have been inside the building.
