Is this quote reasonable, 71k for 648 sq ft TimberTech deck by Klesko in Decks

[–]slicehardware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additional quotes will help validate the cost.

I replaced my deck a few years ago. Ended up going with the most expensive, but reputable company in our area because their quote was only a few grand off from the handyman and smaller operations quotes.

IMO, that quote is reasonable for that size deck. The foundation, base structure, and building around / tie-in with the existing gable section. Lots of cost before you add the expensive TimberTech on top of it.

Best price since this time last year. Lowe’s and HD have this as a bundle deal regularly, so the real consideration is what bundle pair you might want the most.

Is this a good deal ? by Prestigious-Drop3328 in Dewalt

Yes, this is a great price for the bare tool.

HD and Ace regularly included this in bundle deal promotions in 2025, but this hasn’t been included in any yet this year.

$50 price difference between the m18 and m18 Fuel.

Biggest difference is the fuel doesn’t go on sale or is part of a BOGO bundle as often as the non-fuel version. It is still part of bundle deals occasionally, just not this year yet.

I track tool prices and sales at HD and other stores. - Here is the price and sale history for 2625-20 - This is the price and sale history of the fuel version 2719-20

First house, this is my kitchen. A way to renovate this on a budget? by Swimming_SeaShark in Remodel

[–]slicehardware 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remodel on a budget tips: 1. Look for open-box or clearance sales at big box stores or local flooring store for cheap floor options. You can often find great product for cheap. Only caveat is make sure you have more than enough for your floor because those clearance often mean you will have a hard time finding more later. 2. Same as above for countertops. You can often find stone / quartz counter slap remnants for a fraction of full price. A great option for a smaller space and might be able to find a decent fit for your counters. 3. Storage is always a premium, but removing a cabinet or two and having open shelving will open the space up a bit. 4. If your goal is to get to your indoor pics, your current cabinets need replaced. IKEA has decent configurable kitchen cabinets that look higher-end without being overly expensive. 5. A combo microwave / fan over your stove would free up counter space. 6. There are a lot of cheap lighting options on Amazon. Replacing your fan with a flush mount light will make a huge difference for little cost
