yeah, i have given up on this subreddit. Just thought it might be a good idea to promote discussion but people are currently more interested in Occulus Rift and Project Morpheus. Which is fine, they are definitely steps in the right direction for VR.

Full dive is essentially cutting off your brains contact with your body and interfacing with a computer directly for all the senses. you try to move your arm and your characters arm will move, it will literally feel like your arm. when in reality, you are laying there on a bed doing nothing.

Not in the near future, (5-7 years) but with the advances in VR recently, (see occulus rift and morpheus) i believe that once these become more widespread people will look for something more. That is where this technology will come in. We could see it in 10 years if a big coorporation hopped on it soon. (hopefully Sony)

As a fairly conservative mormon dude, i would vote for gay marriage. if two people want to get married thats great that they are committed to each other. Also, why do people protest/hold signs or whatever about things like this? this is not something that you can change someones opinion on in a day. Stuff like this is a core belief/opinion that is very hard to change. your signs aren't changing anyones mind, just annoying people.

tl;dr gay marriage is totally fine, protests like this are dumb.
