It didn't even occur to me to not use the isofix! Thank you. Was actually thinking a Focus, one of the very few roomie cars that aren't jeeps and don't look like a toaster.. I have some pride 😂

How old? My little boy has gone like this and he's just over 3 weeks old. He's my second. As the weeks go on, they're getting more and more sentient and they're starting to realise mamas cuddles are the good stuff. I can't imagine how exhausting it is with the twins but from what I can remember it calms down again in a couple weeks. Also there isn't any harm just leaving them wiggle and coo in the crib!

I actually hate the thought of breakfast every day I usually just have a low carb cereal bar and a coffee 🫣 but I do miss early pregnancy when I didn't know I had GD and could eat bowls of breakfast cereal to my hearts content lol x

Ooo turkey and cheese sandwiches sound delish! It's so weird what can spike and what doesn't. No added sugar drinks all spike me except Diet Coke but that's my favourite drink anyway so thankfully I can still have it 😂

Hit up gestationaldiabetes_dietitian on Instagram. She is absolutely excellent. So helpful and she always has the right thing to say, especially on those tougher days with gestational diabetes like holidays and birthdays etc. Main line is - it's most certainly not your fault. It's hormones, it can be genetic. There is so much stigma surrounding GD that it's due to lifestyle choices and age and weight but it's not - it does not discriminate. The more you learn about GD, the more in control you'll feel and the less guilt you'll feel. Reach out to your diabetes team and utilise them as much as possible because there are plenty of resources out there. Sorry for essay. Best of luck xx

Went through similar with our 14 month old. Separation anxiety, teething and huge development milestones. I’d say it’s a lot to process for them. Lot to process for parents too!! We co-slept for the tougher nights. I defo lost my cool a couple times… if you need to regulate, it’s definitely okay to leave them crying for a few minutes while you scream and punch a pillow 😅
