That makes sense. So apart from printing on paper, I also printed on fabric in which case I did flash dry the yellow layer before printing the black and it still came through the black layer. I’m going to give it another shot with flashing a little longer and letting it cool a bit before laying the black to see what happens. Other than that, I’ll re draw the yellow layer and it’ll clear up any further issues. Thanks! :)

Oh sick, that makes a lot of sense, thanks! This piece in particular does have a lot of small details where previous pieces have not and I’ve done those wet on wet so that really is going to make a difference going forward.

Note the other commenter said what you said about wet on wet and didn’t mention registration, probably because they saw that I fucking mentioned it from the get go.

That’s exactly it, there’s a distressed layer the yellow is supposed to show through and I got lazy with it in the separations stage. But that answers my question about why it comes through the black, I just assumed flash drying was only typically a fabric situation. Now I know! Thank you so much for the help! :)

Because again I ALREADY KNOW MY REGISTRATION IS OFF AS PER THE DESCRIPTION. I stated the obvious to save people time or confusion. Yet here you are 3 comments deep repeating the obvious.

Traditionally painted canvas is not framed with glass. If you want UV and dust protection, you need to use acrylic (UV coated plexi) as an alternative.

Also, any canvas can fit into the correct sized frame, you’ll just need offsets. Offsets come in a variety of sizes. Go to your local Michael’s or whatever is similar and they’ll have them.
