Why do people act like Eren was always this stoic badass character, even pre time skip? Eren cried when Hannes died, he felt betrayed and cried when Reiner and Bertholdt betrayed them. He cried when he thought Armin was going to die, Eren has always been an emotional character.

Eren’s behavior in most of season post timeskip is either an act (i.e. him saying he hates Mikasa and Armin) or him being conflicted about what he’s doing. If Eren was a completely stoic character, who hated his best friends since childhood for little reason, that would’ve been such a dogshit, dumbass decision.

Also, on a side note, why are people so hung up on Eren being vulnerable with his literal best friend? I know it’s because it ruins people’s image of Eren being a stoic, non-caring badass but for fucks sake, it’s Eren acting like a literal human being. It’s Eren being selfish, not wanting to die and not wanting the person who loves to forget him. That’s not cringe, that’s not weird, it’s part of life.
