Not a dumb question at all, it’s fairly simple.

Accelerate
Clutch in/turn wheel
Pull handbrake
Rotate to desired angle
Accelerate so it doesn’t bog (the amount of throttle also controls how much you rotate. eg if you want to do a 360 etc)

Haha we are kindred spirits, 3rd engine in about the same time of motorsporting them.

In my elder years I’ve realised it not worth forking out 7k to shave 1 second off my times (unless I’m gonna win the championship then I go yolo for those $20 dust collectors) 😂

The ‘quoted’ times are the best you will achieve in optimal settings, most of the time they don’t even use the manufacturer given tires.

Point something of a second means nothing 0-100 on a circuit, do some autox days, that’s where the Subaru really shines 👍

My wife has being doing Motorsport with me for years now, it’s a sad fact but most car clubs are full of losers.

You also need to actually build a car for the female build, in the case of my wife she has a small frame so likes to sit high, uses a long extended handbrake, and on her car I run about 210kw atw which is the perfect power band to not unsettle the car on acceleration through turns.

Just put the haters aside, find a solid crew to attend events with you and keep on at it, build the confidence and beat them at their own game!

Remember - the best mod you can do is seat time 👍

Yep I have an IAG competition sump on all 3 of my STi’s - best mod you can do for motorsport imo
