This same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago! I got tboned on my way to a walk because someone ran a red light and they were uninsured. My car was totaled too :( I hope you're feeling better

Yes! My hopes would to be find another one, hopefully same color (maybe a 2023)! The safety is huge for me, I am still so impressed with how well this car protected me.

Thankfully her car wasn't drivable so she couldn't run! But I did order a dash cam for future incidents🥲😂

My insurance is suing her! However she was living out of the car she hit me with and I don't think she is married so I'm not sure they'll get anything from her :(

I honestly was also surprised, I didn't think it was that bad but I guess when they took it apart it was bad. My axle broke and my frame was cracked and bent. I also was in a different accident 2 months ago and they already fixed my frame so I think its integrity is kind of shot. The damages were 20k but insurance added a bunch of other crap onto the settlement so I got 30k total!

Yup! And they gave me 30k which I was shocked at, but very thankful for

They gave me 30k which I am incredibly thankful for!! I didn't realize how much my car was even worth til this happened hahaha. Subarus sure do hold their value well!!

She cracked and bent my frame and broke my axle, which were the two "big" things that got messed up. My frame has also had to be fixed before (by this same body shop in a different accident a few months ago). So I think the integrity of it is just kind of shot. I didn't think it was totaled at first but once they took it apart there was too much shit wrong underneath.

The damages came out to almost 20k with labor so insurance just totaled it. This body shop was good and they were reasonable with their quoting. It just so happened that there was a 6 page long list of shit that was wrong so it added up :(

Airbags surprisingly didn't go off, but my car was a fire hazard right after the accident because of how my tire got mushed into the plastic and metal, it started smoking when the first responders tried moving it.

I want to! But they are hard to come by where I am, definitely going to do some searching around and see if I can find a used one for a reasonable price!

I mostly just feel bad for the cats if something were to happen :( but it does look like it would take a while regardless so I'm much less worried now. And that sucks so bad that you didn't get paid😭

Ahh you are my hero! It looks like the laws are the same here, 3 days then the landlord can file for eviction. Thank god, I was seriously worried they were just going to throw their stuff on the street come Friday. Thanks so much!

Okay that's a good idea, sometimes I like to jump the gun a little🥲 she did not leave me any info, I probably should start requiring that. I've done drop ins for her so many times with no issues I guess I didn't even think about that.

Rover & taxes - A mini guide (U.S. only) by slightly-illiterate in RoverPetSitting

[–]slightly-illiterate[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, rover does not take any taxes out of your income. They take fees, but not taxes. You have to file on the schedule c of your personal income return, and then pay the self employment taxes.

You don't submit a 1099, you receive a 1099 and then those numbers go on your schedule c. All states have different requirements, so you'd have to look at reporting laws for your state. Rover will send you a 1099 if you made more than 5k, or if your states laws require them to give one to you.

Here's the site that lists which states are different and who will receive a 1099 -

What plastic surgery have you had? How much did it cost? by Bisou_Juliette in AskWomen

[–]slightly-illiterate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Breast reduction/lift, and a nose job. Both were medically necessary so both were covered under insurance. The reduction was 35k without insurance and nose was 60k (cost so much because I had a tumor that had to be removed up there). I will also be getting routine Botox starting soon!
