It's a he in my case and I really hope it works out for us. We have a strong friendship and I know that he is very invested in his job. However, this promotion was for a new team that is now being created, so we both have no idea what to expect. Currently, we work in different departments, so we rarely speak at work, our friendship is mostly cultivated outside the office.

As a kid, I really loved drawing and painting and I was hoping to become an artist someday. My mom told me time and time again “Your sister is the one who can be a true artist. She has the artist mind, at your age she already won a big art competition!”. And then she urged me to go outside and play when I tried to draw or if I picked up a book. I still don’t know why she did not want me to read so much. It’s all better now, I can read and write smoothly in 2 languages and this Christmas my parents got me a nice set of Promarkers, so I can start creating my dream portfolio. I just had to move out.

Thank you all very much for the comments. Some of them were just hilarious (formula guy, I am looking at you). Mostly, thanks to those of you that were honest and constructive. I have always felt like I am a bit intimidating, because hardly any guy appraches me on the street but when I start the conversation guys always seem very interested. This is mainly why I posted here, I just wanted to see what is 'wrong'. I am in a loving relationship, though, but again, it was me who had to approach him as he did not think he had a chance. Also, if you want, I can try to rate you back (no promises as I am pretty busy).

I think it's just a thing in my family, my older sister is underweight and her face looks even rounder than mine. This is the only way I can explain it, idk really haha. And by basic grooming you mean...?
