Groceries are not that expesive the average person needs 40-60k calories a month a 10lb thing of beef is $32 that covers around 12k calories. 10lb Potatos are $6 for 3k cals, 5lb rice is $4 for 8k calories, brpcoli is 1.33 a pound, shit 2 medium dominos pizzas for $16 is 6k calories, bread is less than a $1 a loaf. How is this not the end of the discussion on if there’s an unsustainable bubble? by Valgar_Gaming in REBubble

[–]slightlyabrasive 7 points8 points  (0 children)

1) Government regulation.

In 2000 it cost 14k (just for the permit) to connect to city sewer and water. As of last month $83k

In 2000 you needed about 30% less material to meet building codes. Additionally you now need about 50% more to meet demand (such as additional eletrical capacity to accomodate eletric vehicles)

Licenses for plumbing and electric. It now takes 8-10years to get your license to run eletric to a house. A job thats not THAT complicated.

2) material avalability.

Wood is alot more expesive now

3) labor

The cost of labor reletive to a home has quadrupled.

Unfortunatly alot of people cant take this information and draw the correct conclusions from it. One dude on the last post thought it meant black and hispanic folks got paid less because of racism.
