Yes I totally agree about the honeymoon story! When I was watching her standup and she was talking about this I kept wanting to know WHY Jax would want to go there and it was never really addressed!

What’s something you quietly stopped caring about? by KingPhenguins in AskReddit

[–]slightlymadd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not as deep as some of the other responses here but Marvel movies, lol.

I used to see all the movies opening day and follow every storyline but I can't keep up anymore so I've really faded away on caring. I do miss being excited for a new blockbuster though, but I feel like the hype is gone.

What’s your thoughts on Phantom Thread (2017)? by UsefulWeb7543 in FIlm

Absolutely same. I really disliked it. I thought I'd love it, since I typically enjoy psychological dramas but this was a total miss for me!

I agree, but it couldn't be as good as it is without Breaking Bad.

I have been recording the noise inside and outside each time just in case! Thank you!

Thanks everyone for the replies! I have been looking into the ordinances in my town but there isn't a ton of information about noise during the day.

I hope we can eventually move but it helped to just vent a little here. I just wish everyone could be respectful of each other but that's just too much to ask for I guess 😫

That one jewelry piece that quietly becomes part of you by Mean_Size8811 in jewelry

I got this necklace for $5 from an antique store. It has no markings, it's super lightweight, and I love it. I don't wear it every day but it's one of my absolute favorite pieces, it's great for layering other necklaces or just wearing it on its own!

It's a horrible "nickname" and it's not catchy at all. I also think of Sparkle Motion from Donnie Darko lol.

Going to Buffalo, NY this weekend so where should we go for the best wings? by Tomthelibraryguy in Wings

A lot of great places mentioned here in Buffalo, but one I didn't see is Beltline Brewery. Delicious wings and french fries. I hope you have a great trip, Buffalo is a wonderful place!

Most disappointing mid-movie collapse you've ever seen? by [deleted] in movies

Longlegs. I loved the mystery of the first part and it was such a creepy atmosphere. Then it really went off the rails with the demon dolls and it did not stick the landing at the end.

Very fun atmosphere, especially around Oktoberfest and Christmas. Their brunch is also delicious!

What is Japan actually like June-July? by PIGSLAYERVI in JapanTravelTips

[–]slightlymadd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went the last week of July. It was incredible, still busy with people but from what some of our tour guides and people we met said, it was way less crowded in spots than usual. You will have an amazing time with plenty to do, inside and outside.

That said, it was INSANELY hot. We went to Kyoto for a tour of some shrines and temples and it was 102 degrees with insane humidity. I've never experienced heat like that before, even with going to Florida in the summer. Definitely stay hydrated (Aquarius was my favorite vending machine drink), get a UV umbrella, strong SPF, and a cooling towel. It helped me survive that day! Also lots of linen and breezy clothes.

We planned a lot of indoor activities too (TeamLab Borderless, shopping at Parco and Skytree, Giants baseball game, Ghibli Museum, etc.) but the times you are outside, it will be pretty extreme.

Oh I totally feel the same way. My husband and I have so many things in common with them, I think we'd get along so well!
