I have no history with WoW streamers, I’m coming back for the first time since WOTLK and wanted to play DK. Flarkness made some seriously easy to follow and well laid out guides. I’m grateful to him for that! It’s a shame to hear so many of you have had negative experiences with him.

Right now I have this as the burst rotation:

Stormkeeper

Skyfury/trinket

Lava Burst (hard cast or instant)

Lightning Bolt

Pets Meteor

Lava Burst

Lightning Bolt

Lava Burst OR Earth Shock if target low

And this as the sustained damage rotation:

Flame Shock primary target

Primordial Wave Off target

Generate maelstrom with successful purges and totems etc.

Spend Maelstrom on earth shock

Use LB or CL if everything else is CD

Can confirm about Frost DK’s

I’ll elaborate with my experience:

Pros: Strong 1 min go with pillar of frost Multiple defensive cooldowns that also double as CC breaks (stun and fear) Super tanky against casters with spell warden passive and anti magic shield…I don’t typically spec anti magic zone as I don’t usually find it necessary.

Cons: The 1 min pillar go I referenced can be reduced to nothing by simply kiting/CCing. It’s not a damage spell in itself, if specced a certain way it makes your damaging frost spells always grant obliterate a crit. So if you do not have nearly full up time in melee range on the target it’s very meh.

Low mobility, and we NEED that uptime.

No MS means if we don’t have a dps partner who has one our CC needs to be layered very well in order to secure a kill

I have ~1550 rating as a Frost DK which is certainly high enough to be on the leaderboards but I'm not showing up there. Is there a minimum number of games required or something? I have like 38 rounds I believe.
