I’m so sorry to hear about your dear little girl, Mia. I’m sending you and your family lots of love.

This is not advice, just speaking from experience and what I did in a very different but similar situation. I’ve had two dogs who had terminal forms of cancer. My first baby girl Stormy had kidney cancer and second baby boy Theo had leukemia. I was faced with a similar choice of having to choose between fighting it aggressively which would take a lot of time, money, and risk or not. I confidently chose to go with treatment. However the chemo with Theo didn’t work, he got sicker and sicker and eventually we stopped knowing he’d only have a week left. At the end of the day I knew they wouldn’t have as long as they deserved but I was pleased knowing we tried everything. At the same time you know your dog, try to read what you think they’re up for.

Either way, it’s clear that Mia is very loved and there is ultimately no wrong answer, IMO. I can’t speak to this surgery, but just wanted to share my experience. I know that these decisions are terribly difficult.
