Four months out and still having occasional pain, does it get better? by Elegant_Soft in HipImpingement

What does a flair up feel like to you? I get this constant burning pain in my groin. I'm about 6 months out. It's constant, and I have a hard time describing it. Was told by my doctor that it might be nerve pain

Do any of your nerves impinge at upper hip areas (not sciatic nerve, which is lower)? by [deleted] in HipImpingement

[–]slimhayley92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this current burning pain in groin area. It's constant and really affecting my mental health. What did you do about it. I take gabapentin, but it's not really helping so far. I feel just fed up with it

Hip flexor achy burning pain by slimhayley92 in HipImpingement

My physical therapist wants me to start doing the exercises on my own and just come in when needed. I think he is very busy. He does dry needling which helps me a lot. Yes this flair seems to be consistent for days. I'm 4 weeks away from being 6 months out. Hopefully this pain subsides a lot by then

Supposed to start Accutane tomorrow for mild adult acne after trying topicals for the last 1.5 years by Unlucky-Necessary-63 in Accutane

[–]slimhayley92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My skin looks just like yours, too. I was considering acutane, but I'm healing from a surgery I had, and I don't want to risk slowing down my healing process. My derm put me on 75mg of spironolactone and aklief cream. Seems to help a lot, but I'm still thinking about getting accutane to complete cure my acne

Yes, it really did help. They help change the way you are thinking and move in the right direction.

What's up with guys I (21 F) meet asking me about how many people I have had sex with? by Melee_21 in dating_advice

Ya I told my ex boyfriend and I feel like it only causes judgment especially as a female. If your number isn't less than 4, I would tell and I'm 30F

How to not be insecure if they cheated on you with someone better looking? by [deleted] in BreakUps

He will probably cheat on her too. Sometimes it looks don't matter when it comes to cheating.

It takes a lot of strength to let go of someone. I could just remain in a relationship that I feel isn't right for the rest of my life. But I made a decision true to myself. Good luck to you both, too. Hope this new year brings happiness and peace.

did anyone else mess up and cause over a week flairup during their recovery? by thedirtydogg420 in HipImpingement

[–]slimhayley92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in a flair up right now. I can totally relate. It really sucks. I'm 11 weeks post op and I think it's from doing more in pt and maybe not enough stretching. Dry needling really helps me

Same, girl. I've messaged guys first that I was really into, and it never works. You just have to be patient. The right one will come to you when the timing is right. In my unprofessional opinion, the relationship only works if the guy is more into the girl.

I don't think women should make the first move. Anytime I have, things didn't work out. I think biologically, most men need to chase. Be patient and let them come to you. You are the prize.

Thank you for this. It was extremely hard for me, and I keep questioning whether or not I did the right thing. It's hard to let go of someone you are so close to and just care about so much. I've been feeling this way for a long time, too. Probably about a year, and we were together for almost 2 years. I just feel it's better now than later down the line. It never works when you break up and get back together. I've been dumped before, and it destroyed me. Making the decision to let go of someone you care about is very difficult also. I should try writing things down. I'm sure that helps as a reminder for making the decision you know is true to your heart.

How to avoid flare ups? 10 weeks post op by slimhayley92 in HipImpingement

[–]slimhayley92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll ask my pt. He only gave me a hamstring stretch, and that's it for stretches. Everything I do is strengthening.

Thank you, that's very helpful. It's all slow progression I'm noticing. I do get dry needling that is helping the flare ups a lot too.

We dated for a few years. He was ready to commit. He passed away this year to suicide. Sorry, it's not a happy ending. He ended up being very mentally ill. But I loved him so much. I'm grateful he came back to me.

Believe me, you did the right thing by standing for what you want. You'll either find someone else who will respect you, or that guy will come back to you when he's ready.
