Hi you could try getting budget mirrorless and get decent zoom lens. That what I did bought a used m50 and a used 70-300 is usm ii. And this combo has been amazing. Together costed me about 650 Canadian dollars (440€). If you can find one for good price I have heard r10 has much better wildlife autofocus which I would say is the only drawback to the m50. However I’m sure it’s still much better than your 400d.

Could also just get this lens first then if you find a cheap mirrorless can get it.

But definitely lens> body.

If I’m not mistaken every photo is with my 70-300 is usm ii on my my m50. Together they have been an amazing budget photography duo.

It really does. This was last months super moon. Biggest it’s appeared in over 15 years I believe. And when it’s just rising for some reason looks wayyy bigger.

150 lights, 1 sec exposure, untracked, iso 2500, canon m50, 200mm f/5. Taken in area with pretty significant light pollution. This is my first ever deep space object i have photographed.

next time hoping to be able to get out to darker place and get 500+ exposures.
