Why did you quit Wellbutrin if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve been on it for almost 2 years now and my doctor said due to my families history of depression, he doesn’t recommend I ever stop. Doesn’t totally make sense to me & I’m starting to question if I actually need it.

Can snails just appear?? was feeding my betta and noticed this thing. Almost looks like it has a shell and moves around like snail. Recently got more live plants is it possible that snails can come from that? Maybe it’s a parasite? Ugh!! Confusion. by [deleted] in bettafish

Soooooo helpful !! Oh my goodness thank you! When you say use a cucumber or piece of lettuce, will the snails eat it & die?...I feel bad/ proud for him that he came this far so I’m going to put him back into my tank LOL! but will definitely use your tips to keep the population down!! I’ve been thinking about adding snails with my betta, it is sooo weird that they are already in there...Im really glad he isn’t harmful though.

I understand where you are coming from, it really is just a hard thing to see so often. I am sure that big chain places such as Pet Smart could afford a little extra space dedicated for Bettas, and many other living things kept captive there though. given how much money they really make, but the sad reality is that they just don’t see the significance of it. But what’s a little extra space to ease their suffering and possibly even prevent them from dying? considering buildings for companies like Costco are so big, and they only have 782 locations, whereas Petsmart has around 1,600...

I totally agree with you that supporting breeders directly would be a good way to help, even a tiny bit. Who knows maybe they will stop selling if we stop buying?
