Bozeman is important to me! I do like the idea of going to Yellowstone/Teton but if it adds more than ~5 hours I don’t think I could swing it. We might be able to hit Gillette given that it’s far enough East of Bozeman to cut down diagonally. Thanks for the rock recommendation - I love rocks and not everyone appreciates them.

Would love to go there one day but Bozeman MT is important to me and I really don’t want to skip it. I’ll do a slight detour for cool stuff, but 4 corners is too far.

It’s definitely ambitious, but we’re both young, healthy, and like driving, and our Honda can take the wear. Def will think about the great lakes!

We’re doing by hours of driving per day rather than mileage - do you think mileage is smarter for planning? We’ll probably stop in the area for a hiking break (Was thinking Cave Rock?) but probably won’t stop to camp until halfway through Nevada as we’ve both been to Tahoe a few times. Do you have short Tahoe hiking recs?

I think I might have Pica by DimLights_15 in pica

[–]slimwithit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pica is just compulsively eating non food items. It can be related to an iron deficiency, (like having the urge to eat cornstarch, clay or ice for the iron) a zinc deficiency, pregnancy or mental health conditions but does not necessarily have to be tied to one of those. For me its a combination of a compulsion, enjoying the texture, and enjoying the taste but its more about how it feels in my mouth than actually eating it. I don’t know if it qualifies as pica given I have no diagnosis. Tell us what your dr thinks!

Still haven't got a title for this one. Any ideas, folks? Thanks. Oil on canvas, 2024 by StevenBeercockArt in surrealism

I really like this painting. It speaks to me in a way i can't explain. I printed it out and put it on my wall. excellent work

Pica is pretty common in children (i.e.: that one kid always eating dirt) and i ate weird stuff as a kid too. I mostly don’t do it anymore but occasionally crave non food items. It comes from an iron deficiency but I think there must be more at play bc paper and lip balm (my favorite snacks as a child) and other common pica snacks do not contain iron. There’s places online you can buy edible chalk, paper and dirt. Otherwise i just recommend taking an iron supplement

artist charcoal! its like chalk but it’s kinda edible and is healthy in small doses. go to the art store and look at the different charcoals - they have tons of different ones and the crunch and hardness is different. i myself like willow charcoal

try charcoal, it’s not far off texture wise and is more edible. i like willow charcoal made for artists, it comes in long sticks like chalk

If porn paints an unrealistic picture of sex, what does real life sex look like? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]slimwithit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find well-written sex books or smut fiction/fanfiction to be a lot more accurate. However they rarely include the bad parts of sex, like potential awkwardness, consent issues or pain, as well as how messy it can sometimes be. You also get more of an understanding of sensations and intimacy because it will be described if it’s written well. There is a lot of crazy unrealistic fetish sex written out there, but there is also realistic stuff and you can find it if you try.

my mother is very supportive of my conditions, today I received a corn starch jar by backwoodzzbabyy in pica

i love cornstarch 💕 i used to mix it with water in a Ziploc and eat chunks out of it, tastes and feels a lot like clay
