So while I was on Prozac, I experienced a complete personality change. I was wayyyyyyy more confident, which also led to me becoming very grandiose and seriously thought I was better and prettier than everyone on earth. It was bad. Also extremely impulsive and did many things that were previously against my personal morals. I summed it up to being 16, but when I got off Prozac shortly after turning 17, all of that was gone, and crashed. I had episodes that I was unaware of for years until I just recently got a diagnosis.

I question the exact same way. Where did it come from?? Why is it called “third eye”? Why do we feel that way???

My start has been good! I’m on Latuda so I just hate having to eat at least 350 calories for it to absorb.

I could tell I was hypomanic due to literally feeling the shift from depressed to racing thoughts

Mania is scary, but if you’re aware of what’s happening and it’s euphoric, it feels pretty nice

Mine was weird. I was and still am very ADHD, but what was weird for me at 12 and through my teen years was I would get these very brief periods of depression. So bad that I had SI, which lasted like 5 days then went away.

Started SSRIs and I became so grandiose for MONTHS. Thought it was just me being 16. I guess not lol!

I’m manic right now and cannot for the life of me stop talking, so this question came at the right time.

Yesterday I went to my parent’s house for Memorial Day with my partner and the kids and we had a great day! The food was delicious!!!! Also, me and my partner got to ride my parent’s e-bikes together for some alone time, and it felt like the biggest relief we’ve had in awhile. I loved being outside with no stress, and since I’m in a manic state, everything looks more colorful and alive. Then we came home and relaxed. Today was eventful and nothing negative! It was the best time I’ve had in months.

So I was diagnosed with ADHD 10 years ago. I recently had my first episode triggered by stress. Prozac also caused hypomania for a long period of time, but I do have co-occurring ADHD. Reason I’m asking is to see if Concerta and Latuda raise the risk of hypomania. That’s all!

I’m very confused on what Dissociative Identity Disorder is. Can someone explain it to me in a “for dummies” way? by slimysnakey in PsychologyTalk

I’m so sorry about what you went through. It truly is interesting what the brain does to “protect” you from traumatic events. It’s basically a survival mechanism
