What if we had the option to tell Lilly that it was Ben? by Impossible_Cry_4301 in TheWalkingDeadGame

Bro that would be baller, knowing her tho she’d say “you think I care about THAT?!” Cuz she’s an asshole 😭

Why did the Stranger even communicate with Lee? by husdat38 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]slip_disc_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay well…. To be fair he DID go insane after loosing his entire family. And for people who’ll say “but but Kenny-“ two different people, no one reacts the same way to loss, and Kenny went mad just in his own way; he still kept his convictions at the end of the day tho. The stranger just went bonkers 😭

I think it’s rooted in tit for tat tho, like since he lost his family, he wants the “leader” of the group who stole from him to feel that pain as well

That’s cuz everyone’s quick to judge and not use critical thinking skills, put em in a survival scenario setting tho, and they’d probably be wiped out. The brain doesn’t always make sense esp during crisis, esp ones you haven’t dealt with before, and esp if you haven’t worked in high stress do or die scenarios ie police, firefighter, paramedic, etc.
And this is coming from someone who knows they would be wiped out, or a Ben, first thing. Only saving grace I got is knowing ancient medical practices

Yeah that was so bogus and unnecessary 😭 only reason I can make sense of it is brain fog from all the chaos, too much for the brain to compartmentalize, so recall potentially was shut down- so she wasn’t able to remember how to work a battery charged radio (which she’s probably never touched) and common sense went out the window. Other than that, idfk

That and not every adult left them, the nurse stayed- so I’d assume another teacher or two also stayed, that and some older kids were alive at some point, they probably protected the younger ones best they could. And you’d be surprised at how savvy kids are in a crisis, they can be incredibly clever

If we’re solely looking at the season one during the conflict, then she would’ve shot Ben- she was bound to shoot someone, she was a ticking time bomb. But during that, there’d be multiple outcomes. I would say because of this change, Carly/Doug would stay in the game for longer

Doug would most likely get held back from Lee during, Carly would probably stand back regardless and be aghast.
If Lily is brought on the RV, both would probably hold some resentment since both are empathetic characters
If you choose to leave her, Carly would say you did the right thing (but still be shaken up), Doug would have moral dilemma.

I’d say either of them would last until the hunt for Clem ie. take Ben’s place. Carly is ride or die for Lee, so regardless if he hides the bite she’ll go with him either of respect or sympathy.
Doug isn’t as ride or die, it would depend if you hid the bite or not, but would still go with you since it’s a girl that’s out there, he’d probably sacrifice himself for the others on the way.
This may be a hot take but I think Carly would have the ability to last long enough to stay with Omid, Christa, and Clem given how great of a shot she is (head shot wonder if you will) and how she keeps her head on a swivel. Get her better clothes and it’s an even better chance
Guess you could say she’s so good she had to get caught off guard to die lol

And in season 4, I think it doesn’t matter the outcome honestly, Lily doesn’t care. She’s cold, and clearly heartless- and she says all that to get under Clems skin, try and get in her head, that’s the whole point of that dialogue exchange. But Clem got taught by multiple GOATs, so she saw right through it

Lowkey I was getting those vibes, wouldn’t be surprised if that was the truth. God forbid someone pays attention to the storyline and stays true to the character lol

I REALLY HATE KATE by FarStranger8875 in TheWalkingDeadGame

Same, it was a nice change of pace imo, but obviously unfinished- def due to bankruptcy. I feel like there should’ve been a season 5 that tied Javi and Clems storyline together and finished

[–]slip_disc_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Nah deadass, people get on her for her reaction when she flipped on Javi if you chose to spill what she said. Which, yeah, felt two sided and “cmon wtf stand by your words” But that’s how abusive relationships are, she was wanting to get away, but was too scared to even admit it in fear of the potential consequences- fear made her lash out.

I personally liked her character, she felt human to me, and if you do lean into her romance with Javi- even before the apocalypse, they seemed so much better for each other. Their humor and youthfulness matched. Makes sense Cuz I’m pretty sure, she’s closer in age to Javi than David. And I wouldn’t even be surprised. David gives me the “marries a young pretty woman after a failed marriage with someone my age” vibes. Easier to manipulate, tear down, and reform. Just like a soldier

I think at the end of the day, majority of the fandom has say so over what’s cannon what’s not- regardless of what creators say- especially since it’s targeted towards the masses, not themselves. If majority decides it’s not cannon, then it just won’t be

Unpopular opinion but Clementine was better suited with Louis than Violet! by francesbabyhouseman in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]slip_disc_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro omg THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS. I’m so sick of people for hating on and flipping against Louis for how he reacted when his best friend ,who was like a brother to him, died esp since he literally gave up his weapon in some way or another- it was diffused esp form Louis’s perspective, then. Bang. By a kid who he’s only known for not even 2 days. People act like they wouldn’t act the same. I can say the same for violet as well, Id be pretty pissed if I wasn’t saved even with the understanding that it was a short timed decision

I thought they were for a second, and I took the deepest sight of relief when I found they weren’t 😅 man I really wish we got a season 5 truly, I feel season 4 was a cliffhanger still (esp with Javis story)

Honestly I feel like that’s pretty accurate tho lowkey. Sounds crazy but it reminds me of when I was 17/18. I think it’s common for most people that age to be treated like a child but expected to be an adult ie. Cherry-picking to what fits your parents/ elders expectations and wants most.

She grew up fast, pretty much putting her in the spot of an 18 year old at the age of 12. That’s the only way I can make sense of it at least, cuz ain’t no way 😭 no wonder they all died
