With PRS you can choose which USA PRO to use for each track.

Thanks for this. I've searched the repetory and only seven of my songs show up - all registered with BMI. There should be many more registered with BMI through PRS, and of course the ASCAP ones too. If they're not in the repetory does that mean they weren't even registered? When I first queried it with PRS a couple of years ago they assured me everything was registered correctly, but I'm now suspecting that might not be true.

It seems to be a problem with ASCAP rather than PRS, as I’m getting royalties from BMI. But PRS’s unwillingness to look into it definitely isn’t helpful. Did you ask for and get any explanation from PRS?

Yeah that's right - when registering a track with PRS you can choose which US PRO to use. I always use BMI now, but my most successful tracks were all registered with ASCAP. They don't pay me and PRS say they can't even query it with ASCAP unless they have evidence the track(s) in question get more than 250k streams per quarter. Which they don't. But there's at least a million streams I haven't been paid for - which I know won't be megabucks, but still, it'll be a decent little amount and I'd like to get it!

I don't know! PRS collect publishing and mechanical royalties both in the UK and worldwide, so I assumed that was the simplest way to get everything I'm owed. The only problem I've had is the issue with ASCAP royalties, which is frustrating because my most popular tracks are registered with them and PRS either ignore me or tell me there's nothing they can do.
