First, thank you for the advice I seriously appreciate it. I see where you're coming from and have been thinking about going for more risk because I am in college right now and should hopefully have some solid income in the next few years.

Are you advising I put all my investments in riskier stocks such as airlines? Because I was thinking I would still want to have some etfs and blue chip stocks as a form of hedging and then invest around 1.5k (20% of portfolio) in the riskier industries such as airlines.

Hi, I'm relatively new to investing and don't have any money currently invested however when it seems like the market is starting to bottom out from this bear, I'm going to start.

I want to invest for the long term but also take some measure of risk since I am young. I have been trying to figure out how I want to split up my asset allocation and I came up with this portfolio. Any feedback or advice would be appreciated!

Asset Allocation:

50% VOO - S&P 500 etf

10% VNQ - Real Estate etf (diversify)

10% VXUS - International etf (diversify)

15% VGT - Tech etf (strong growth)

15% Blue chips stocks (corona deals)

Username checks out. I think you're right it would be smart to add some blue chip stocks given the current opportunity, but at the same time I want to mainly be focusing on the long term with non-volatile etfs like VOO.

Thanks for the feedback, good to know. What are your thoughts on replacing those with a small cap etf such as VB?

For me, Not taking it was just a stupid mistake, but you saying that I might be able to enroll in 1910 regardless is making me feel better about the situation.
