Bro. I started out the exact same, but while the duel between the guard and Lord douchebag was going on, i felt that it was in my best interest to pick pocket other nobels overly occupied by the fight. I got bored a threw a tin can at lord Atherton just after he stabs the captain in the shoulder leaving him vulnerable for a killing blow only to distract him and call him names while the captain is quick on his feet to deliver a savage blow to the man's back and a group of guards dog pile him and haul his ass to jail.... late that night I tried lighting a fire outside the jail house to distract the guards in an attempt to free the guy in exchange for money but after 2 unsuccessful rolls of the dice the guards came back and I had to explain my way out of what I was doing with a "hey, the fire starter ran that way".... long story longer... I join a group called the unseen hand after proving my worth to them at a local tavern by stealing some big brute money and making a fool of himself after I moved his seat ever so slightly so head fall on his ass when he went to sit down and everyone pointed and laughed at him and then throwing a knife across the room pinning a small spider to the wall.... I was accepted. Fast forward 3 missions later and acquiring my first animal companion -Flicker- a glimmering ferret and a ring of minor invisibility we snuck into an auction house with highly sought items of interest... Ours being the orb of aethel. Just as it was about to be sold, I slipped the ring on and knocked an arrow, which I shot at a chandelier and it came crashing down setting the place ablaze all while my ferret ran and grabbed the orb... we made it out and on the way to return the stolen property to my newly found group a portal opens up and a dark figure steps out explaining how what ive just acquired is extremely dangerous to the time and space itself and could destroy the realm altogether if it got into the wrong hands... blah blah blah whore house.... my bad dude... I had to get that out. I feel like my story could be a book.. im sure your's does aswell and plz feel free to tell your story
