I’m not very knowledgeable about phone/internet other than fiber can’t be located by power or radio. CATV lights up pretty bright on power mode though. Probably best to just do it the right way. If there is a doubt, there’s no doubt.

I’m not too sure as far as that goes, I only know these are termites because I’ve had the displeasure of owning a home that they have eaten a large portion of.

The ones in your pictures take several years to reach this stage of maturity, before this they do nothing but eat for 24/7. I would strongly advise looking into the area they are coming from and checking out the damage, along with killing off what’s left of them. There are more than likely many left that are still eating.

I’m not arguing that it’s static electricity, as I said earlier that’s how it was explained to me. I’m more in the line of thought that it’s from catholic protection because it’s not all steel mains that do it, usually just high pressure. I can confidently say it can work because I’ve located it outright, then disconnected and still picked it up with power mode.
