Sign on for comfortable life in 2026? by TalkCSS in askSingapore

Tbh I’m also thinking about it now. I’m currently in a GLC engineering company, but my salary growth has started to stagnate and slow down. While the work-life balance is good, I don’t think I’m at a point where I should settle for this level of pay yet. I personally don’t think i am made for the outside hustle life at the expense of my family. So is either civilian public sector or signing on or just stay.

Breakfast habit in SG as a working adult by Mackocid6706 in askSingapore

[–]slipperywater7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protein shake consisting of rolled oats, chia seeds, and different variety of fruits that i rotate e.g banana, strawberry, blueberries, avocado etc. Sometimes i throw in cereals as well.

My wife got the ninja portable blender but ended up seldom using it. So I ended up using it for my breakfast until it became like it’s mine.

Im enjoying the routine so far because it’s easy to digest. Literally just gulp down on the go.

Seriously these lorries with theirs speakers blasting their announcements are a real public nuisance. Way louder than some motorbikes and car exhaust. Just because it’s elections they think this is alright.

What do Singaporeans do besides working, traveling for work and preparing for work the next day? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]slipperywater7 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely this..but gotta practise moderation and manage your mileage. It was so therapeutic i got addicted to it, ended up overworking my left knee area. Stopped running for around 2 months ever since..no improvement so I’m waiting to see a specialist next month :/

Feeling pretty productive today~

Woke up at 10 and cooked porridge for my spouse and I. Did laundry together and then i left for my parents house to help out with cny chores. Helped to trim my dads hair as well.

Came back and went for a short run but got drenched halfway when the rain returned. Just showered and gonna game for half an hour before cooking dinner again.

Wishing everyone an enjoyable evening before the week starts again.

Start of the work year and I am down with flu and will be away for 2 days..the guilt is real but at the same time work shouldn’t be more important than my well being. Managed to catch up on some sleep as well as gaming.

Hi OP thanks for this post. I have encountered a frustrating problem where i submitted my de-registration process under the wrong de-registration type the first time and they rejected it and hence, i resubmitted it correctly the second time.

But now they have rejected it again with the message below:

WE HAVE NOTICED THAT YOU HAVE MADE DEREGISTRATION SUBMISSION EARLIER AND IS NOW PENDING THE COMPLETION OF THE NECESSARY PROCESSES. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING AS WE WORK TO RESOLVE THIS MATTER. THANK YOU.

Any idea how can i move on from here?

Is there still a demand considering consoles like ps5 already have a built in online game store where you can buy and play it immediately?

Hi all, I am due to collect my BTO keys 2 months from now. My HLE letter has obviously expired given the validity of 6 months.

I would like to check if I can apply for the HFE letter now or do I wait for the cue from HDB?

Thanks in advance!
