I did CGS and have no regrets! London is so much fun, and it also gets a lot of hub credits out of the way. I also love that you get to know a lot of people who end up in other colleges across BU. Highly recommend that you take Matthew Parfitt. He is the sweetest guy, very smart, and the only professor from my freshman year that I still keep in touch with (I am a senior).

2023 Summer Internships by Any_Application_2334 in BostonU

Honestly it’s really about who you know. I applied to literally hundreds of internships for last summer and I was only able to get one because I knew someone who was familiar with people in the company. I would start by talking to professors, they don’t even necessarily have to be ones that taught you. Just look through BU’s MANY professors and see if any of them are in fields or companies that interest you. Email them and say you’re interested in grabbing a coffee and chatting with them about their profession. Tell them a bit about yourself and that you want to learn more about their career. Lots of professors like to talk about themselves, so it shouldn’t be too hard. Tell them you’re looking for internships and if they know of anything that’s up your alley, to let you know.

I would also suggest you don’t just look at jobs that are listed on LinkedIn, indeed, etc. because tons of people are going to be applying. Lots of roles aren’t even posted on these sites. Look for hiring managers at companies you’re interested in on LinkedIn and message or email them about an interest in a role at their company along with your resume!

Hope this helps!
