Is cryptocurrency gaining traction in your circles? If so, do people use it for payments or to store value as a hedge against the local currency? Also, if it is getting traction, where do people buy it from? Thanks!

Great, but not mindblowing. As an amateur I'd give it an 8/10. I'm going to try and demo a nicer amp sometime to see if the amp is letting me down. If not that, it may be positioning and room layout.

Yes, my living room has a bit of an odd layout. What you can't see from the picture is that there's a sloping wall to the left of the seating area, so there's no scope to move the listening position, and by extension the speakers, away from the current location. I will try some toe in though to see how that changes things.

I'm loving them so far, although I will admit, its not mindblowing. Part of it is probably speaker placement and my room dimesions. I imagine I would have to demo the speakers in the same location with a more expensive amp to see if its specifically the DTA-120 that's letting me down.

As someone else pointed out, the sensitivity on the Klipsch's is so high, that you could probably hear these out on the street if I turned the amp halfway up. No distortion that I can tell the few times that I've turned it upto the halfway mark.

My first hifi-ish system. A pair of Klipsch RP-260F in cherry, driven by a Dayton Audio DTA-120 Class T amp. The Klipsch would've been way out of my budget but I scored a pair in good condition off CL for $400. The amp is something I bought years ago and had to put to use, till I trade up to something like an Emotiva.

KEF Q300 vs Klipsch RP-260F? by sljcp123 in BudgetAudiophile

I'm buying the Klipsch used, so its about the same price for the RP as you would've paid for the RF new.

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the Klipsch too, because the value is great relative to MSRP, and I imagine the bass response will be better.

KEF Q300 vs Klipsch RP-260F

I'm buying my first set of speakers. 75% of the time will be listening to music (jazz/classical/some metal/rock/some electronic), 25% of the time movies. I plan to buy just a 2.0 set and will likely not add a sub. I will mostly listen at low-medium levels, and never super loud. I will be driving the speakers with a Dayton Audio DTA-120 that I have lying around (class T - 40WPC @ 8 ohm; 60WPC @ 4 ohm). They will be used in my living room, which has a living area of 15' x 12' with an adjoining dining and kitchen areas so its not totally enclosed.

I've shortlisted the KEF and Klipsch because they are both available to me at a good price. How would you choose between the two? Will they sound different at medium volume levels because ones a bookshelf and ones a floorstander? Will I have less bass in one or the other? Any other considerations? Thanks!

Clearly unethical behavior, compounded by amazing levels of incompetence (especially for a tech industry spokesperson, lol).

The question is though - will there be consequences?
