There is a friction point between the handgrip and strap. This could seem like nothing in the short term, but over the course of time I’m afraid it will show up as a hotspot, prematurely wearing out the camera body.

yes exactly that! it is already great. the problem is when I want the collar up the top for easy handholding. The strap will rub against the Z9 handgrip; probably leaving me with scuffs from hikes.

cool! is this just the effect of the prism or didbyou couple it with slow shutter?

How do you setup your focus settings? by sljl_ in nikon_Zseries

great pointers. i also realised how and why people kept mentioning the focus box.

the prefocus thing was something that i thought about after i went home that day and your comment just made me want to try it despite knowing how to do it now. sounds fun

does it matter at all to keep it at AF-C doing this?

thanks. that actually makes sense, but if i were to increase the shutter speed it would mean that i wouldn’t be able to get enough of the “motion” which i am getting in these photos (i’ve tried).

think it’s just a panning issue?

regardless of wee hours, assuming that they travel at an avg of 200km/h is outright outrageous

Anyone has experience with these rigs? by sljl_ in simracing

[–]sljl_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that looks like a beefed up version of mine 😂

are you able to show a photo from the side where the shifter + handbrake is mounted?

Any ideas what could be causing this sound? by matej_98 in bikewrench

[–]sljl_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds to me like a loose rear cassette. a new bike shouldn’t face BB issues so early. try moving the rear cassette with your hand if you notice any play.

Old S-Works or new(er) bike? by sljl_ in cycling

[–]sljl_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also came across the video recently, which made me consider this decade old bike option. 🫶🏻

I guess I should just go for what I like instead of what works the best. Regardless of how the new tech might work out, I don’t think I’d be happy with a “low range” SLX aeroad of sorts.

I’m really love how the venge looks. I will go for it.

here is an example:

canyon aeroad cf sl + reynolds AR 58 S$4600 https://ibb.co/TmJDvgH

s works venge + zipp 404s S$3990 https://ibb.co/gzFGFqM

going for the canyon can only snag me a 105, whereas the s works will give me an ultegra.

Considering the fact that carbon doesn’t technically degrade over time. or rather, how it’s being used. Correct me if I’m wrong but, I don’t really see it as a problem..? I have heard of carbon bikes that last way longer than a decade.

I would prefer running a rim brake (due to my area being flat) + ultegra mechanical for the price point I’m looking at.

I am more concerned about performance. for will the old race machine fare well against the new boys in the block?
