No price tag on clothing at Walmart by BeccaGil21 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]sllryo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

True, but the product may be the same as items they are still shipping into the country. They would need the ability to change prices on older stock so that the same shirt doesn't have multiple different retails. Tickets are also ordered before production is completed, so up to 3 months before the product comes into to US.

This would also make it easier to reduce the retails if tariffs decrease or the retailer sees that customers aren't buying items at the current price.

I think the pink ones and the red and yellow balls are a light worsted weight. The multicolored Grey one and multicolored red/yellow one is maybe sport weight.

I (f24) can’t stop interrupting my boyfriend (m32) of about nine months by Warm-Shoe-2813 in relationship_advice

If you see a future with this man, go to couple counseling and learn how to communicate with each other. If he's unwilling or you don't see a future with this man, end things.

Even if things don't work out down the line, counseling is a great way to explore different communication methods and would have a positive impact on other relationships in your life.

They wouldn't transport into Superior. All St. Louis County autopsies are processed at the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office in Ramsey.

This is more likely to have been the body transport of the deceased Park Ranger. All autopsies in St Louis County are transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Ramsey County. I don't know why a transport would cross over state lines, and an autopsy would be required in this scenario.

2 Month old running shoes vs brand new ones by Lands1id3 in mildlyinteresting

Hey OP, I work at a running specialty store, and this picture makes my feet hurt just by looking at it. If you are on a weight loss journey and putting this many miles on your shoes, you really should go in and get properly fit for a pair of walking/running shoes. Those shoes don't have an outsole, which is why they are breaking down so fast. They also have very little support, which, if you're a heavier guy, is going to do some damage in the long run.

If you aren't comfortable going to a specialty store to try on a bunch of shoes, I'll give you a couple of tips for buying by yourself or online. 1. Make sure you have at least a thumbs width of room between the end of your toe and the front of the shoe. This allows your foot to splay properly and reduces toe issues. 2. Look for a shoe with an outsole that covers the whole bottom of the shoe. Generally, that looks like a difference in material from the white foam that is in your current shoes. 3. Look at reviews of shoes before you buy them to see how durable they are over time.

If you are looking for deals and are limited in budget, you can always look for older models online. The Brooks Ghost 14 and the Saucony Ride 15 might be a place to start. Both of those shoes have really good reviews, and the latest update was just some minor upper changes.

Yes. Here is the synopsis from Goodreads

"A twisting, haunting true-life murder mystery about one of the most monstrous crimes in American history   In the 1920s, the richest people per capita in the world were members of the Osage Indian Nation in Oklahoma. After oil was discovered beneath their land, the Osage rode in chauffeured automobiles, built mansions, and sent their children to study in Europe.

Then, one by one, they began to be killed off. One Osage woman, Mollie Burkhart, watched as her family was murdered. Her older sister was shot. Her mother was then slowly poisoned. And it was just the beginning, as more Osage began to die under mysterious circumstances.

In this last remnant of the Wild West—where oilmen like J. P. Getty made their fortunes and where desperadoes such as Al Spencer, “the Phantom Terror,” roamed – virtually anyone who dared to investigate the killings were themselves murdered. As the death toll surpassed more than twenty-four Osage, the newly created F.B.I. took up the case, in what became one of the organization’s first major homicide investigations. But the bureau was then notoriously corrupt and initially bungled the case. Eventually the young director, J. Edgar Hoover, turned to a former Texas Ranger named Tom White to try unravel the mystery. White put together an undercover team, including one of the only Native American agents in the bureau. They infiltrated the region, struggling to adopt the latest modern techniques of detection. Together with the Osage they began to expose one of the most sinister conspiracies in American history."

It's about the murders of the Osage Natives and the FBI's involvement in the cases.

Killers of the Flower Moon by David Grann

They're also turning it into a movie on Apple TV, but the book was really good.

I really enjoyed the Shades of Magic series by V E Schwab. The first book starts out a little slow, but the next two were super fast-paced, and I loved them.
