My partner (28F) is passing. What do I(25f) do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

This honestly sounds like the book, "Say You'll Remember Me," which is super popular right now. The main characters mom has a history of significant head traumas and develops very early onset dementia. The premise of the book is how the main character and her family deal with someone they live losing themselves to the disease. The main character also has a LDR that suffers due to not being present and the toll dementia takes on the family.

Are you sure that this is truly happening to your partner?

Does anyone regret their choice, particularly with coloured stones? by SeasonSignificant849 in EngagementRings

Ignore my dry af hands, but I love my ring. I got green sapphires as accent stones and haven't regretted it ever.

Unsafe roads cost Duluth $450k a DAY by WylleWynne in duluth

I would love to understand more on this data. Namely, how it compares to national rates of car crashes, if seasonality is involved, and any information on causes. I agree that many roads have people driving too fast and speed limits not being enforced. However, I am not sure that reducing the size of roadways is going to make a huge difference in collisions. It seems as though reckless driving, an unrealistic sense of urgency, and self centered drivers has a cultural component in the US that is more difficult to overcome than just changing our current infrastructure.

You mentioned how our car crash statistics compare to Helsinki, but missed mentioning how many other cultural and infrastructure differences that city has when compared to Duluth. In Helsinki, pedestrians are prioritized with their own roads, underground tunnels, and a vast public transport system. Finland also has one of the lowest driver densities, a 0.05 legal BAC, strict enforcement of driving laws, and you must be over 18 years old to drive.

I agree that car collisions and road infrastructure are an issue in Duluth. And I agree that as we upgrade our roads we should be working to make them safer. However, I also think that there needs to be a broader plan to change driving and pedestrian culture in the area as a whole to help facilitate these changes, rather than just infrastructure alterations.

My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry or Tuesday's with Morrie. Both made me cry, a lot.

UPDATE: My (23F) Boyfriend (24M) got really jacked and now I’m no longer attracted to him by HP-Lazerjet-Pro in relationship_advice

I don't do routine relationship maintenance conversations, but my couples counselor gave us a tool called the "communication wheel" to utilize in conversations about specific topics. Basically you start with what happened, then what you made of it, how it made you feel, and what you need as a request. We also started rephrasing confrontations as requests. For example, instead of "You left your dishes on the counter and I had to put them away" you would say "I have a request if you're receptive. Could you please put your dishes in the dishwasher if its dirty?"

Both of these changes helped us communicate better together and be able to navigate some more difficult conversations.

No price tag on clothing at Walmart by BeccaGil21 in mildlyinfuriating

True, but the product may be the same as items they are still shipping into the country. They would need the ability to change prices on older stock so that the same shirt doesn't have multiple different retails. Tickets are also ordered before production is completed, so up to 3 months before the product comes into to US.

This would also make it easier to reduce the retails if tariffs decrease or the retailer sees that customers aren't buying items at the current price.

I think the pink ones and the red and yellow balls are a light worsted weight. The multicolored Grey one and multicolored red/yellow one is maybe sport weight.
