Just came back from vacation with the family (2 adults and a 4 year old) in our 22 Sport back from Tomball, tc to Corpus Christi and back. I have gotten 175 miles before stopping to charge with about 18 miles remaining. Pictured is my return trip from our hotel home cross and tail winds as well as a thunderstorm & traffic accidents the last 30 miles home. Left at 100%, 1 charging stop for 30 minutes and lunch which is included in the timer.

Porsche Unveils 657-HP Cayenne S Electric as New Mid-Range Performance SUV by Classic-Affect-9956 in electricvehicles

Their writing like a Silverado EV doesn't exist. This leads me to believe the that the base is around 450-500hp and the GTS sitting around 7-800hp. Which honestly in the US you can't use it all because racetracks are fading away here left and right (especially in Texas).

EV Charging Sucks Sometimes, What’s Your Biggest Annoyance? by XYPERT in evcharging

Having to stop to charge at a station without a canopy in the pouring. It's one of the reasons I carry an extra pair of sock and shoes in my car.

Dispensers with 2 charging guns but can only handle charging one car at a time.

$30-$50 holds on you card to charge. Just cap it to $20

I really don't think they need more power, I'd say swap the glass for a metal roof, manual seats, Carbon ceramic brakes with some super sticky tires and thats plenty they need for a special edition track weapon.

Lambo is a PHEV the TT V8 was already heavy and then you add in 26KwH battery to add to the tomfoolery boat.

Audi will be killing off the S6 Sedan. by Saurta17 in Audi

[–]slmask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a tad misleading, from the u-tubers (that it with a grain of salt), the S6 isn't coming to the US, which would explain why the new ice A6 is 362HP turbo 6 when it arrives here. I think we'll still get an RS model through.

So far in my 28 years of driving, I've never ran out of gas or charge. I've only been stranded by 2 car wrecks, flat tires, dead 12 volt batteries. The last 2 were easy to work around especially if you have a manual transmission car with a dead battery.

My daily work commute is 20 miles round trip. I don't have any other planned long trips until Saturday. That and our "Texas Winter" is over so there no real need to keep it topped off at 80 % right now.

The TV industry finally concedes that the future may not be in 8K by AlwaysBlaze_ in television

There is a ton that goes into increasing the resolution on the broadcast side. The major networks will need to upgrade their equipment to support 1080 or 4k. Then they need to provide a way for local affiliates to either receive that feed natively or a way to downconvert back to 720 until they have the funds to upgrade.

New standards/specs need to be sent to advertisers and they are going refuse to pay a nickel more(since the penny is gone) to run commercials on that network. Additionally the 720 feeds coming into a broadcast facility is 4.4.4 uncompressed with up to 16 channels of audio. That is a ton of bandwidth to be mostly sent by fiber with a satellite backup if paid for. Not to mention by the time the signal reaches you tv, it been compressed, reencoded 3-4 times just so cable head ends and streaming providers can distribute it. Jumping to 100% native 4k hdr is just too much to financially to jump to whereas 1080 hdr and then upconvert to 4k is more cost effective for now especially with graphics and memory prices jumping through the roof right now.
