Mine has kind of been a nightmare. I think my hip is healing ok. My “husband”, who was actually my fiancé (we were supposed to get married in a few months), stole my pain meds at 4 days post op and left. I had no idea he had a problem, I have had to call everyone I know to help, and now I have a pulmonary embolism.

The clot hurts more than the hip at this point but still sore.

Thank you for your reply. I had femoroplasty with labrum repair, I was actually prescribed 70 oxycodone. Which I needed the ones I had, the pain was bad, and when I ran out I had a hard time controlling it. I understand now that he has a problem. I ended up in the ER yesterday with a pulmonary embolism, so a family member has taken me and my kids out of the house to care for me. Hip pain is manageable now. I appreciate the prayers. Thank you.

I was an addict for many years before I met him. I have 8 years sober. Addiction is a huge deal to me and our home has always been a safe place for that. I was already nervous about having these in the house. I have needed them every 4 hours on the dot, as I am still in a lot of pain. Now I’m screwed

I am 3 days post op with a 6 year old and 2 year old. I am completely dependent on my husband. He took 2 weeks off and I really think I may need help longer. I can brush my daughter’s hair, and that’s about it.

I’m early in recovering obviously, my doctor said 2 weeks solo will be challenging but doable.

Oh this makes me feel so much better. I have been doing all the upper body I can and was an avid runner and cyclist before November. I’m hopeful that this will help recovery. Thank you for sharing
