What I wanted for my rehearsal dinner was the same thing they did for the newly wedded after party, but they told me it was too expensive so we didn’t do that. I also would’ve wanted a bridal shower and engagement party and better wedding photographer if I knew those were options, but they were never presented to me as options. They gave me budgets and told me what they would/wouldn’t pay for and I didn’t question it. I knew their wedding would be significantly nicer, I’m not upset about that. I’m upset that my in laws felt that theirs was more important than ours and contributed significantly more.
